I was fine with how it turned out

Right now, our country is experiencing a high rate of unemployment. Good paying jobs are far and few between.  What makes matters worse is that so many people have college degrees and they are all applying for the same jobs.  I was convinced I was going to be looking for a long time, however I seemed to have gotten lucky! I scored a job on a team that was working on some government contracts for new computer software.  We worked in cubicles all on one floor. The first morning was amazing. It was a lot of information to take in and I was feeling really run down by the end of the week. By the weekend, I was really quite sick.  I thought maybe I was coming down with something serious after a month. I started to notice that when I had a day or two off, I would feel better. When I returned to work, I would start to feel awful after a few hours trapped in the HVAC system. When the heating system clicked I became literally sick to my stomach and I developed a severe headache. When I realized that the problem was with my workspace, I didn’t know what to do.  I have always had pretty bad allergies but I didn’t want to say anything, for fear of losing my job, but it only got worse each morning as the HVAC unit continued to run. I could lose my job if I put up a fuss after all. My boss came up to me and asked if I was feeling ok. He thought I looked terrible. I said I had allergies. When he asked what I was allergic to and I had to tell him the truth. I told him about the possible connection with the HVAC system and he was so grateful that I told him and I didn’t lose my job!
