Mold and allergy issues

Right now it is the hardest time in recent history to get offered a job. They are far and few between. And, to make matters worse is that everyone is over qualified! Hundreds of people are up for the same job! I was sure I was going to be looking for a long time, but I seemed to have gotten lucky! I work in the tech field and scored a job on a team for a new project. We worked in cubicles all on one floor. The first day was amazing. It was a lot of information to take in and I was feeling very run down by the end of the day. When I got home, I really didn’t feel well. I thought maybe I was getting sick on my first week of work! The next day when I got to the office I was fine the first hour. Then the heating system clicked on and I became very sick to my stomach. Later in the day after taking in this processed heat, I now had the worst headache!  My heart sank, it came to me that it was mold in the heating vents. I had pretty sensitive allergies. I didn’t want to say anything, for fear of losing my job, but it only got worse each day as the HVAC unit was turned on. I knew if I said anything about the filters, I could lose my job. But, then my boss came up to me and asked if I was feeling ok. He thought I looked terrible. I said I had allergies. When he asked from what, I was able to explain about the mold in their vents and HVAC unit. He was so grateful that I told him and I didn’t lose my job!
