My parents are typically bickering about a the same old thing: the central heating and air conditioning system. I remember hearing fights about the thermostat since I was a child. One parent thinks it’s too hot, while the other thinks it’s too cold. It angry my siblings plus myself and others to hear the same fight over plus over again. My mother is always cold, so he would turn the heat on, even if it was sixty degrees plus sunny outside, then my father, on the other hand, overheated really hastily, so he would turn the heat off while in the middle of Winter because he felt adore he couldn’t breathe, but as you can imagine, these battling extremes were difficult to live in the same household! This has been going on for years. Now that I am an adult and have moved into my own place, I don’t have to hear about this as often. I only encounter it when I visit my parents. Luckily, they have found a solution. My mom decided that after twenty years of arguing, she is going to hire an HVAC service technician to update the household central air system as well as invest in zone heating. This will allow my parents to set each individual room to its own temperature, which will absolutely end the arguing. My dad was totally on board and even offered to pay the majority of the costs since it would make his life more comfortable. The update is due to happen next week. I’m actually kind of nervous to see if this is a permanent solution and if it is well worth the financial investment. I am keeping my fingers crossed!
