I spent nearly 20 years finally working odd jobs in offices doing middle management work. It was a rather long and tedious climb to make it to that middle level and I was not sure I had the inclination or ability to get very much further. It was just such a majorly backstabbing environment and nobody there ever seemed particularly happy with their job duties. Finally, after debating it for some time and finally getting up the nerve, I got myself laid off from task and enrolled in a trade college to become a Heating plus A/C dealer. I was lucky to have a boss who was understanding and dare I day generous enough to kneel me off so I could collect unemployment money. I picked Heating plus A/C because I had an uncle who used to do that task and would like to take me along with him on service calls when I was a child. Watching him task on various furnaces and a/cs consistently fascinated me, and perhaps this was the route I should have chosen from a young age. However, after that I wouldn’t understand how much I hated being trapped in middle management, so perhaps things need to happen at particular times in your lifetime. I went to trade college and spent the next 18 months learning the ins and the outs of the Heating plus A/C industry. I acquired about residential furnaces and large commercial units. I acquired how to put an a/c together from scratch and how to install ducts. All in all, it was a spectacular experience and I graduated at the very top of my class. There were also local Heating plus A/C companies on hand that day to help guide us as well, and I was given a great job with a top corporation in the state at my graduation ceremony.
