Remembering to adjust the heater

Tonight I took out more than one youngest children out to lunch while their siblings were in a class. I never take these more than one out by themselves, & now I remember why! They had the worst behavior ever in the restaurant, & I was thoroughly embarrassed by the way that they both acted… First of all, as soon as every one of us walked in the door, our child said, “Ugh! This place odors!” And he said it easily loudly, and he wasn’t wrong; the air quality of the restaurant did leave something to be desired. Next, our child started complaining about the air conditioning in the place – or should I say, the lack of air conditioning. He piped up, “Yeah, it smells in here & it’s super warm & stuffy! Doesn’t this place have any air conditioning system? What kind of place doesn’t have air conditioning? Why is the heating on in the middle of summer? Why isn’t there any air conditioning system coming through the air vents?” It was just ridiculous. No matter how several times I told them to be quiet, they just kept on complaining about the smell of the air coming through the ventilation system & the noticeable lack of cooled air from the air conditioning. Don’t even get me started on how poor their table manners were! It was poor enough listening to them say things to the waiter like, “Can you check the control unit?” & “Can you please tell the manager to chop the air conditioning system on? It’s appreciate a oil furnace in this place!” I don’t suppose if I’ll ever take them to lunch again without our husband there to back me up on the manners situation, however rotten youngsters.
