Last summer season, I had some problems with our a/c. The cooling plan is rather old, and we were experiencing unusually hot and humid weather. The a/c was running non stop and struggling to keep up with demand. I should have lowered the thermostat a bit. The a/c ended up quitting in the middle of the night. The following day, I called our proper Heating, Ventilation, and A/C supplier for repair. Because of the heatwave, and the multiple problems with a/cs in the local area, they were completely booked. They could not offer an appointment for more than two weeks. I then started reading reviews of the other Heating, Ventilation, and A/C companies in the area and contacting all the ones which were highly rated. None of them could supply an immediate appointment. I then settled for an Heating, Ventilation, and A/C supplier with rather questionable reviews. People claimed that this supplier never showed up on time, tracked dirt through the house and failed to clean up discarded component and materials. I figured I could live with terrible customer service, but was unwilling to go without a working a/c. I was able to schedule an appointment for the following day. I was rather surprised when the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C specialist showed up right on time. He was dressed in uniform, very polite and prepared for the work. He kept a neat and tidy worksite, kept me informed of the progress, and provided a detailed estimate. The specialist had the a/c up and running within 30 minutes. When I mentioned the terrible reviews online, he told me that the supplier was under new ownership. They had hired all new specialists and completely changed their business standards.
