We are having some serious problems

I am so grateful that I have air conditioning right now… Working outside in the garden all day really takes it out of me, and it is so nice to be able to come inside and lay down in the nice, cold air cycling through the house. In these moments, I think to myself, ‘this rocks.’ And yes, I know I’m a bit silly. Gardening is one of my favorite things to do. I love the heat on my back as the sun beats down. I love the smell of flowers and pine bushes. I even get a strange satisfaction when I pull up a week by its roots. I can’t explain it, but it is definitely my favorite hobby. So imagine how I feel in the winter, when the ground freezes over, and I don’t have much access to my favorite pastime! Sure, I can have indoor plants. I have several of them that I keep inside year round so they’re out of the heat or cold. It just simply isn’t the same. I can’t make as much of a mess, which is half the fun in my mind. I’ve spilled a pot inside before on accident and the dirt went all into one of the HVAC vents in the floor. I had to stick the arm on my vacuum down there and even then I didn’t get it all out. I just ended up having  my HVAC vents cleaned. The HVAC tech that did it commented on the amount of dirt inside the ducts. I acted like I had no idea where it came from. It was either that or reveal to this strange guy that I hired to clean the HVAC ducts that I am clumsy and uncoordinated. I felt pretending I didn’t know anything about it to be the less embarrassing option.
