There is truly a small critter in our air duct, and it might be a chipmunk or a mouse! Either way, something fluffy & cute is roaming around in our air duct… I don’t want to kill it. If the animal dies, it will most likely perish in our air duct. Having a dead animal in our HVAC duct would be so gross; my air quality would literally have decaying, rotting animal in it. That can’t be healthy to breathe in. Also, I assume cleaning out the dead animal would be just revolting… Since I don’t want the animal killed, I can’t certainly call an exterminator for it. I also have not laid out poison. I assume what I need to do is call our HVAC supplier. I assume I will lure them under the premise that the animal has chewed and scratched our air ducts. They can scrub and perform air duct sealing for me. I am the helping them discover the animal in this process. As a team, the HVAC contractor and I could then catch the animal and release it into the wild. At least, that is how the program is going on in my head. I could get a 400 pound HVAC worker that does not love the safety of the animal. That is a risk I am willing to take. I have prepared heavily for this air duct appointment. I have brooms and buckets ready to catch myself the fuzzy critter. I also have eliminated spans of air ducts where I don’t assume the critter is! Wish me luck on our quest.
