Our house has more than one control units and more than one furnaces, but I wouldn’t exactly call it zone heating. Part of our house is absolutely outdated – the original section of the house was built way back in the early section of last century. Then the newer section of the house was only built about 10 years ago! You can imagine the difference in how well the walls are insulated in the more than one different sections. Every one of us find that even if the two of us set the control component at the same temperature on the different sides of the house, one of the furnaces has to run much longer and labor much harder than the one on the other side of the house. You can unquestionably know which furnace gets stuck with all of the work. It’s unquestionably the one that has to heat the older side of the house. We’ve had several Heating plus Air Conditioning specialists out to look at the troubles the two of us have here but they all say it’s a problem with the insulation, or lack thereof. There isn’t much the two of us can do to help with the furnace running constantly on that side of the house, unless the two of us decide to install some of that blow in insulation that you can get these mornings. It seems love the outdated insulation in the walls of our outdated house was nothing more than newspapers! Hopefully with new insulation the two of us will get the furnace issue resolved because it’s unquestionably drafty here and the two of us don’t want to have to upgrade one of the heating units every 5 years or so because it’s not running efficiently enough.
