I’m not great with choosing. My family won’t even ask me what I want for dinner anymore. I can come up with 6 different dining ideas but never reach a final decision. I simply overthink nearly every choice I have. Perhaps I am attempting to consider all facets of all possible options. There was a time when I just did whatever felt right. But the older I get, the more I find myself considering too much about too many things. Unfortunately, this behavior will lead me to simply not make any decision at all. But there are areas where a decision must be made. For example, I must identify a HVAC contractor very soon. My homes heating and cooling unit is overdue for replacement. But, I am dreading interviewing HVAC installation candidates and quotes. I simply don’t want to comb through all the quotes while attempting to discern whether someone is competent or not. However, the time has come to choose the right HVAC provider. I thought perhaps going online to do a bit of research might help me narrow my focus. The internet was indeed helpful as I came across several lists which had very similar things to look for. First, do your homework and check HVAC vendor reviews. This will go a long way toward weeding out the bad choices. Be sure each HVAC candidate is certified and licensed. Don’t be afraid to ask for and view their credentials. A professional HVAC contractor will normally be uniformed, neat and organized. Also, pay attention to who arrives for the appointment on time. It appears the most important aspect is having an HVAC contractor who can answer your questions. I will take this list and find me a qualified HVAC pro. But, maybe I’ll decide to do that tomorrow.
