My family owns & operates a day spa, where clients come to like relaxation & pampering. The people I was with and I job very taxing to create a soothing environment. Soft lighting, cascading water, gentle songs, & calming scents all help to combat stress & promote a sense of peace & wellness. The spa includes treatment rooms for massage therapy, facials, body wraps, manicures & pedicures. The people I was with and I offer multiple weird hot tubs, saunas, & an indoor swimming pool. Each section has particular requirements & challenges. The people I was with and I deal with concerns with body smells, mold, mildew, dust, & excessive humidity. Cleaning is an ongoing responsibility & a priority. The operation of the heating, cooling & ventilation systems is essential to the comfort, health, & budget of the facility. When the building was designed, we consulted with a licensed HVAC contractor to determine the best type of system for our requirements. The HVAC contractor recommended a ducted heating & cooling system which allows for zoned control. The people I was with and I also incorporated a heat reclaim ventilator to introduce fresh air & expel excess humidity. Each section within the facility is equipped with an independent temperature control, which allows us to customize both temperature & humidity levels. It’s often necessary to supply simultaneous heating & cooling to rooms which are side by side. Because of this, insulation & vapor barriers were an essential feature of the building design. Although the investment into a top-of-the-line HVAC system was rather expensive, more precision control has saved a good deal of money on weekly weekly bills. Plus, our clients would not be satisfied with anything less than ideal comfort & air quality.
