It’s time to cool off

While you all may be suffering through some sort of a heatwave, it’s incredibly crucial to make sure all of the members of your family are being cared after when the temperature starts to soar.  And if you don’t have central air conditioning or maybe just a small window A/C unit, this should mean looking after your pets too, cats, dogs, plus even small mice are just as prone for overheating as the rest of us are plus they need care plus attention. Unlike you and I, they can’t simply go take a frosty shower or get to the kitchen for a glass of water.  Always be sure your pets have access to plenty of water plus food. For dogs plus cats alike, a great way to stay cool plus provide them something interesting will really make you sick on an overly warm day, however three or less could be fine. My parents pets like to swat the ice about, they’ll even eat some of the ice cubes sometimes! For cats, if they don’t have A/C you’ll need to make sure they’re keeping cool.  Overheated creatures can become very nauseous, plus as cats don’t actually pant like many pets do to regulate their body temperature, you’ll need to take care they don’t become sick during the heatwave. One of the most easiest ways to cool off an animal is to wipe them down with an ice pack. Simply take a tiny ice pack from the freezer like you’d put in a supper box, then pet your animal with that thing for a few minutes. If you do have an air conditioner, consider leaving it on a low setting when you’re not at home. Not can this be an energy saving tip, however it could also keep your pets comfortable plus healthy.
