My best friend is finally taking the step towards making his side task a full time reality, for years, he’s been working a soul-sucking desk career that he genuinely loathes, but however, the pay is fantastic and it lets him fund the thing he prefers most–woodwork. From furniture to good decor, our friend does it all. He wants to get into doing custom countertops and decor, which he knows he has the skill for. However, this would mean taking it to a point where his client base will need him to task all throughout the year, but while he can make a lot of furniture in his garage, the sealants and coatings needed for countertops require anywhere with a lot more ventilation and area for the chemicals to go elsewhere, so he’s not breathing them in all of the time. Fortunately, he might have found the answer, a friend of a friend has this sizable seasoned metal barn for his farmhouse, from the time when major harvesting equipment was still in use, and the owner has agreed to let my friend rent out the area for a small fee every month. The location is massive, comparable to an airplane hangar. He’ll need to invest in a area furnace and a house air purifier to keep everything clean, however the area alone will provide him the increased air flow he needs to pursue his work! I can’t wait to see what he does now that he has the exact level of air quality and Heating and A/C needs to take his woodwork dreams to the next level. I’m going to hire him to make our kitchen countertop as soon as he has the up-to-date electric furnace setup.
