Here in the mountains, the lot of us are finally seeing the start of fall. It isn’t hot outside, plus the nights are getting really cool. I have consistently appreciated the fall season. The leaves turn bright orange plus I smell smoke from closeby fireplaces. I also appreciate cutting wood into fireplace-size logs, plus not using the air conditioner appliance. As a matter of fact, I have opened the windows the last few days, although I close them up for the nights. It isn’t so frosty yet where I need to turn on the heating appliance. All I really need is an extra blanket. However, it is time for my annual furnace tune-up. In these mountains, I never want to experience a furnace breakdown. I would rather have the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C appliance company come out plus check out my furnace before I start using it all over again. Afterall, my furnace has not been in use for a little over 6 months now. So I’ll have the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C appliance professional check it out plus order any parts that might be needed before the real cold weather gets here. All of us have the fireplace, extra portable furnaces and a great deal of blankets, but having a working furnace is essential in our neck of the woods. So I’ll schedule a furnace tune-up for next week, since I could be turning on that furnace next month. Otherwise, I could be forced to split a lot more wood for the fireplace than what was planned for initially. In fact, I doubt if my wood shed could store enough wood to keep the fireplace burning all day plus all night. So I would certainly be better off with a well-working furnace, instead of an overworked fireplace.
