Last July, our wife & I decided to host a celebration for our friends, neighbors & family. Planning to keep all the people outside, in the backyard, we rented a large tent, tables & chairs. The two of us spent a great deal of time & effort preparing our property for the event. Hoping to have everything looking nice, we weeded the gardens, trimmed the shrubs, mowed the lawns, raked, painted & devoted minutes to getting the pool water crystal clear. The two of us also obtained a variety of food & drinks, & our wife devoted an entire morning to baking desserts. Because of the oven running & an outside temperature in the upper eighties, the apartment became really overheated. I lowered the control component setting, & was thankful our guests would remain largely outside; Unfortunately, on the morning of our celebration, it began to rain. The two of us got hit with high winds, torrential downpours, thunder & lightning. There was no way anyone would be willing to sit outside. I once again reduced the control component setting, & noticed the apartment wasn’t cooling down. There was absolutely a problem with the cooling system. Since our repair skills are limited to cleaning the filter & increasing the batteries in the control unit, I could not repair it. I had no choice however to call for emergency cooling system repair & spend money overtime charges. It still took the Heating & A/C company nearly an minute to arrive & another minute to repair the cooling system. By that point, guests were already arriving, & the apartment was sweltering. The two of us couldn’t even open the windows because of the rain.
