School air quality lets the kids stay sick

I work as a nurse for the local elementary university.

Everybody wants to guess why the teenagers all get sick in the winter.

The principal is all up in arms over the long list of absent teenagers over the freezing season. I guess the answer & no one will do anything about it. The easy reason is that the indoor air conditions is poor. The teenagers have weaker immune systems than adults, then so the instructors can handle a little dust in the air quality, however the students get sick from it. It all starts with headaches & then changes to fatigue & becomes a full on cold. To maintenance the indoor air conditions being dirty, the university needs to pay for ductwork cleaning. Every five years a Heating & A/C plan should have duct cleaning done to it. A Heating & A/C contractor simply comes in with a big wash brush & goes to town. The university also could Springtime for an air purification plan afterwards. The air cleaner would install right into the oil furnace & A/C system. As the Heating & A/C provides the temperature controlled air, the air cleaner would freshen that air. The teenagers would assume better & so would the instructors. The principal & university board won’t approve of the air cleaner or the ductwork cleaning appointment. There is nothing more I can do for the teenagers. It is literally the university that is making them sick. The ductwork cleaning appointment can’t be that much money. There are cheaper air cleaners on the market too. The people I was with and I absolutely couldn’t spare that money for our teenagers?
