I thought I could heat it up – space heater broken

I plugged the small heating implement into every outlet, but no heat followed

I’m the sort of person who will suffer in silence rather than bother somebody else with my problems. I have this ongoing issue with asking for help or putting any of my stress on other human beings. I would much rather just wait it out and figure out a solution on my own time. That’s why my roommates absolutely love living with me, but I am continually existing in discomfort. From the moment that we moved in, it seems like their thermostat preferences were not in line with mine. Even more so, that there was clearly an insulation or leaky window problem in my bedroom. Everyday, the air temperature in my room was particularly colder than the air in the rest of the house. I didn’t want to bother anybody with my discomfort or to upset the current thermostat settings, so I never said a word about the cold air. Besides, I figured that I could always set up my space heater if the air temperature was truly unbearably cold. After several weeks of shivering in multiple sweatshirts, I finally pulled the trigger and got my space heater out. I couldn’t take the cold any longer, and I wanted a little heat so I could get out from under my warm covers. Unfortunately, when I plugged the space heater in, expecting beautiful warm air to immediately flow up towards my face, nothing happened. I plugged the small heating implement into every outlet, but no heat followed. I had to face the unfortunate fact that my space heater was broken, and I might have to voice my heating and cooling preferences to my roommates. So far, I’m on page 10 of my persuasive speech about indoor air temperature.
