I was bequeathed a lovely historic condo by our Grandmother a couple years back.
This condo has been appealing for our family & I really feel a strong fastenion to our late Grandmother by living here.
Recently, we’ve started making some substitutes to the home. The people I was with and I have substituted the wi-fi (by adding some), the dining room appliances & the decor. The people I was with and I also substituted from a dial temperature control to a smart temperature control. With this new, programmable temperature control both of us are able to regulate the temperature while we’re away to keep our weekly heating & cooling costs down. The last thing that I really wanted adjusted in the house was the fact that it was so much colder in the kitchen than in the other rooms of the house. The worked just fantastic but the heating seemed to not reach. I looked into zoned HVAC but that was out of our budget & seemed like a hassle. I did see, but, that adding a fireplace in the kitchen would entirely be more affordable. In addition to that, it would look great. That kitchen was made for a fireplace & I’m surprised that our Grandmother didn’t already have 1 put in. I called our HVAC provider & they gave me some estimates & dates on putting in a fireplace. Soon after, there was a heating & cooling specialist at the house adding in that fireplace for me. The fireplace looks lovely & adds even more character to the historic home; it also, most importantly, keeps the kitchen nice & warm.
