Some bleach will keep the creeps away

I sometimes get really worried and sorry for today’s teenagers.

They are living in a difficult world, and they’re missing out on the simpler classics.

Sure, they do have YouTube, Facebook, plus everything on Hulu on large screen HDTVs, but something is missing. I didn’t know what it was until my 10-year-old son had some friends over. I played a couple of old school “Three Stooges” episodes on my computer plus the teenagers ended up sitting with me until they were rolling on the floor in laughter at super old slapstick humor. The other thing teenagers don’t have today are those fantastic 1950s horror films, often in black and white with monsters plus goopy creatures emerging from an oozing slime. For me, they were amazing. My theory is that whoever thought of those films back in the day must have lived in houses where central A/C systems were installed… I thought this as a kid, because during those hot summer season afternoons, I saw that the condensate from the Heating as well as A/C unit would collect drop by drop in a drip pan. Left unattended, algae growth would turn the pan plus cooling condensation line into that oozing mass of slime; A small bug emerging from it may have been the producer’s inspiration for films that scared us. People quickly found that a bit of bleach poured into the line would kill the algae plus effectively keep the lines clean. If you still have a concern with algae or mold, a call to a certified Heating as well as A/C tech will be your first step to save yourself from creatures lurking in your Heating as well as A/C lagoon.
